Klunk Announces Funding for 169th District Projects
March 18, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) today announced state grant funding for four projects in the 169th District.
The funding for these projects came from the state’s Multimodal Transportation Fund and Local Share Account programs. It was awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development.
“I’m always grateful to see state grant dollars reinvested in our community,” said Klunk. “From ensuring safety, to rehabilitating our infrastructure, these dollars will help make the 169th District an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
“I appreciated the opportunity to advocate for these grants alongside Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) and am excited to see the projects come to fruition.”
Grants awarded within the 169th District are:
• $66,210 for Shrewsbury Township to make pedestrian improvements along Mt. Airy Road, Wolf Road and Forrest Avenue.
• $600,000 for Northern Central Railway to rehabilitate tracks, bridges and yard switches.
• $120,341 for Jefferson Borough to reconstruct its borough parking lot.
• $18,847 for Lyric Band of Hanover to replace its HVAC system in the Lyric Band Hall in Hanover Borough.
Questions about these grants or any other state-related issue can be directed to Klunk’s office at 717-630-8942.
