Klunk to Host Back-to-School Event on Aug. 6

HARRISBURG—Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) invites families residing in the 169th District that need school supplies for children in kindergarten through sixth grade to her Back-to-School Event. The event will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the rear parking lot of her district office, 118 Carlisle St., Hanover.

The event is presented in partnership with Utz Foods, Walmart, Hanover Area YMCA, American Legion Post #14, Hanover Moose Lodge #227, Minuteman Press, Burkentine Real Estate Group, Hanover Eagles Order #1406, and the Republican Club of Hanover. Backpacks of school supplies will be provided to the community. Additional parking will be available next door at the Hanover Borough municipal lot.

“School will soon be back in session, and students and families across the 169th District are gearing up for another busy academic year,” said Klunk. “I am proud to once again be partnering with several community contributors this year to ensure every primary school student has the supplies he or she needs to thrive in the classroom. I’m looking forward to a fun evening supporting our students.”
